John Ronald Stewart, 77, of Deltona, Florida was called home on Wednesday, May 31st after a brief
illness.
He was born August 9, 1945 to Tommie Stewart, Jr. and Arthele (Betty) Heath in Athens, TN.
John served in the Navy during the Vietnam war. He later returned home to Belleville, Michigan to work
for Daimler Chrysler Corporation as a ground’s mechanic until his retirement in the late 90’s.
John is survived by his 4 children - Ronda (Mike) Hunter, John David (Lisa) Stewart, John Ronald
(Tabbetha) Stewart, Jr., and Heather Stewart, 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, 3 sisters - Linda
(Tom) Kimsey, Patricia (Bob) Krohn, and Madge Cinnamon, a sister-in-law, Laura Heath, several nieces
and nephews, and his longtime companion, Joanna Durante.
Aside from his parents, he was pre-deceased by his wife, Patricia L. Stewart, a brother, Eber P. Heath III,
and brother-in-law, Oakland Cinnamon.
A memorial service will be held at 11am on June 10, 2023 at Dale Woodward Funeral Homes &
Cremation Services, 167 Ridgewood Ave in Daytona Beach, FL 32117.
He will be laid to rest next to his wife Pat in Wells Cemetery, Pageville (Meigs Co.) Ohio following a
graveside, Veteran’s service on Saturday, July 1st at 11am
