Rosita Jane Morris, 84, of Ravenswood, WV, passed away on April 25, 2023, at Camden Clark Medical Center in Parkersburg, WV.
She was born on May 24, 1938, in Spencer, WV, daughter of the late Ray and Imogene Watson Alvis.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Chic” Morris; sister, Dorothy; and brother, Garland.
She was a member of North United Methodist Church in Ravenswood where she was church treasurer for many years, and she also sang in the church choir. She was also a member of the Jackson County Gospel Singers, Ravenswood Senior Citizens, and The Silver Sneakers at the senior center. She retired from Kaiser Aluminum in Ravenswood.
She is survived by her brothers, Danny (Rosalie) Alvis, George (Claire) Alvis, Roger (Margaret) Alvis, and Donald (Peggy) Alvis; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, May 1, 2023, at 12:00 pm at Roush Funeral Home in Ravenswood with Pastor John Witmer officiating. Burial will follow in Independence Cemetery in Sandyville.
