Kenneth Eugene Leedy, 81, of Ravenswood, WV, went home to be with his Savior on April 28, 2023.
He was born in Jackson, Ohio, son of the late Isaac and Frances Leedy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Davis; and his granddaughter, Emily Barton.
He served as a mechanic in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Ripley Baptist Temple in Ripley, WV. He spent his life serving the Lord as a Pastor for 45 years, including Justiceville Bible Baptist Church in Pikeville, KY, Faith Baptist Church in Lexington, KY, Faith Bible Church in Ravenswood, WV, and First Baptist Church in Oak Hill, OH. He was the principal of Heritage Christian Academy in Ravenswood where he helped with the completion of the gymnasium building program, and served on the Board of Directors at Southland Bible College and Southern Highland Evangel.
Ken is survived by his wife of 56 years, Juanita Rose Leedy; children, Trish Barton of Ravenswood, WV, and Tim Leedy of Columbus, OH; grandchildren, Katie (Taylor) Goodwin of Millwood, WV, Allie (Jacob) Bignall of Ravenswood, WV, Abigail Barton of Huntington, WV; and great-granddaughter, Charlotte Rose Bignall.
The graveside memorial will be held on Friday, May 5, 2023, at the Ravenswood Cemetery at 2:00 pm with Pastor Rick Perrine officiating with full graveside military rites provided by the Jackson County Honor Guard.
Memorials may be made to the HCA Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 427, Ravenswood, WV 26164.
