Sonia Elaine Turner Parsons 79 of Pomeroy, Ohio passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, December 13, 2023.
She was born on October 25, 1944 to the late Thomas E. Turner and Lillian M. Hill Turner in Dexter Ohio.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years Larry V. Parsons, son Larry W. (Teresa) Parsons; daughter Sue Smith; Grandchildren Nikki (Joey) Chapman, Brittany Wachenswarz, Charlize Parsons, Ashley Smith, Shanalle Smith, Jessica Gauze, Michael Gauze. Eleven great grandchildren; Sisters Lucy Hess, Sue Turner, sister-in-law Louise Eads, Several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brother's Clovis, Emmett, Tom, Clair, sister’s Mary Francis, Betty.
Sonia was a loving mother and grandmother, there will be a graveside services at Standish Cemetery in Dexter Ohio, on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 1:00pm.
The family greatly appreciates the loving care of Holzer Hospice. The family request no flowers and donations can be made to Holzer Hospice of Gallipolis Ohio. The family also appreciates the loving care of friends and neighbors.
