Michael Dean Barcus Sr. age 74 of Gallipolis passed away Friday morning June 9, 2023 at his residence. He was born in Gallia County on May 11, 1949 to the late Ira Barcus Sr., and Francis Betz Barcus Lucas. Michael was a carpenter by trade.
Michael is survived by his life companion, Paula Derenberger, sons, Jason Christian, Bobby Christian, Billy Christian and Michael Barcus Jr. all of Gallipolis, a daughter, Angie Barcus of Columbus. Grandchildren, Desiray Christian, Sissy Barcus, Shayla Barcus and William Barcus, and brothers Ira (Sue) Barcus of Gallia county, Larry (Peggy) Barcus of Gallipolis and Ralph (Marie) Barcus of Virginia.
As per Michaels wishes he will be cremated and there will be no services.
Waugh Halley Wood is assisting the family.
