It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marilyn Savannah Reese on June 17, 2023, a remarkable woman who touched the lives of so many. She was a guiding light, a pillar of strength, and a source of unwavering love and support for her extensive family.

Born into a loving family, Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Willard & Faye Reese, her brothers and their wives, Luther Reese, Loren & Violet Reese, Emerson & Etta Mae Reese, and Herman Reese, and her niece and nephews, Edward Reese, Marvin Cremeans, Timothy & Lisa Reese, Dr. Matthew Reese, Adam Scott, and Joseph Harris. Her impact on countless students will be felt for generations to come, as she empowered them to embrace knowledge and pursue their dreams.

Beyond her professional achievements, Marilyn possessed a deep love for nature's beauty. Birds and flowers held a special place in her heart, and she found solace and joy in their songs and their vibrant colors. Her appreciation for the natural world reflected her profound connection to the divine, as she was a Woman of God who found strength and guidance in her faith.

But perhaps her most significant role was that of a devoted aunt. She played an integral part in the lives of all her nieces and nephews, offering them unwavering love, guidance, and support. Her open-mindedness, compassion, and attentive listening made her a trusted confidante and a source of comfort during life's trials and triumphs.
