Rosann Dexter Hollinshed, 76, of Gallipolis, Ohio, sadly passed away in the comfort of her home on the 2nd of December 2023 after a 14-year-long battle with cancer. She was born 16th of October 1947 in Gallipolis, Ohio, daughter of the late Samuel Edgar Dexter and Arnetta Anderson Dexter. She was married to the late Charles (Snooky) Hollinshed in 1967, in Gallipolis. She graduated from Gallia Academy High School, in Gallipolis, in 1965.

Rosann was loved by many and was willing to help anyone in need. She enjoyed spending quality time with her family and loved ones. She was a member of Paint Creek Baptist church, in Gallipolis, where she held numerous positions over the years of her membership to the church. She gave her life and time serving the Lord. She was also an active volunteer with The John Gee Black Historical Center, in Gallipolis. Some of her hobbies were drawing and poetry. Rosann held various jobs to include, but not limited to, the medical plaza, Gallia Senior Citizen and finally retired as a claims representative at the Social Security Administration in Gallipolis, Ohio.

Rosann is survived by her sisters: Bobette Dexter Braxton of Gallipolis, OH and Marlene Dexter of Delaware, OH; her daughter: Taia Williams of Dry Ridge, KY; grandchildren: Jera and Chase Coen, Blake (Destiney) Harris, and Ryley Williams; Great grandchildren: Caylee, Easton, and Harper Coen, and Braylee and Zayden Harris; a host of nieces and nephews; and a life-long friend Jackie Howard. She has been reunited with her father, Samuel, her mother, Arnetta, her husband, Charles, her sister, Janet Kay Davis-Hall, and her daughter, Shae Marie Inman.

Services will be held at Paint Creek Baptist Church in Gallipolis, OH on the 9th of December 2023. Visitation with be held from 11am to 1pm and the funeral services with begin at 1pm.

Honorary Pallbearers are Pete Anderson and Morris Hogan.

The family is requesting that in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to The American Cancer Society. The family is also requesting that all food be taken to Paint Creek Baptist Church at 833 Third Ave. Gallipolis, OH on Saturday.

The Family would like to extend a thank you to Dr. Vallee, the Holzer Cancer Center, and The James Cancer center at The Ohio State University.
