Nancy E. Crossen, 88, of Gallipolis, passed away, at 9:54 p.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2024, in the Holzer Assisted Living. Born October 3, 1935 in Athens, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Letha Patrick Brickles. She was a retired clerk for the Gallipolis Auto Auction and a homemaker. She was a member of the New Life Lutheran Church of Gallipolis, and she volunteer for various organizations such as the Arthritis Association and the Keep Gallipolis Beautiful Organization. She loved spending time with her family and she also loved to travel.
She is survived by her son, David Thomas Crossen, of Mansfield, granddaughters, Jennifer Marie (Philip) Bonzo, and Kristina (Bobby) Nickels, both of Gallipolis, a grandson, James David Thomas Crossen, great-grandchildren, Isabella Hope Bonzo, Brooke Erin Bonzo, Tressel Alexander Nickels, and Hayes Ethan Nickels. A sister, Carol Brickles Bethscheider, of Athens, a brother, James (Sara) Brickles, sister-in-law, Beulah Crossen, of Albany, and numerous nieces, nephews, and honorary grandchildren also survive.
In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas L. Crossen, and her daughter, Stephanie Stover.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 in the Alexander Cemetery, in Albany, Ohio, with Rev. John Jackson officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Nancy’s memory to the Gallia Shooting Aces 4-H Club or the Gallipolis Elks Youth Football, C/O Bob Marchi, 409 2nd Ave. Gallipolis. The Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Gallipolis is entrusted with the arrangements.
