Rebecca Marshall, 68, of Pomeroy, went to be with the Lord Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
Born October 8, 1955, in Gallipolis, Ohio, she was the daughter of Ruth Ann Smith and the late Homer B. Smith. Rebecca enjoyed planting flowers, sewing and being a homemaker. She cherished spending time with her grandchildren.
Besides her mother, she is survived by her loving husband, Dane Marshall; one son, Raymond John Ward; one stepdaughter, Jamie Mitchan (Joshua); several grandchildren; two sisters, Diana (Michael) Ohlinger and Connie (Tom) Roush; one brother, Homer Smith Jr and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her father, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Kathleen Smith and Teresa Jeffers and grandparents, Oma and Pearl Smith and Kathleen and Basil Cremeans..
Memorial services will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at the Ewing Funeral Home in Pomeroy with Pastor Phil Foster officiating. Burial will be in the Beech Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday evening from 4:00 PM until the time of service.
