Joe L. Anthony of Middleport, Ohio passed away on Saturday, June 30, 2024 at his residence. He was born in Mason, WV on March 20, 1958 to Dorothy Anthony and the late Gerald Anthony. Joe worked and retired from Meigs Local School District after 35 years. He was also a member of the Middleport Volunteer Fire Department and he also ran the Scoreboard at Meigs High School for many years.
He is survived by his, Natalie Anthony of Middleport, Ohio; mother; Dorothy Anthony; children; Phillip (Courtney) Morehead, Westerville, Ohio; Katie (Justin) Noce, Willow Wood, Ohio; grandchildren, Emma Noce and Corinna Morehead; sisters, Barbara (Doug) Muns, Edgefield, GA, sister-in-law; Jennifer (Jim) Tilley, Marietta, OH; life-long friend, Rich (Kolleta) Fridley, Middleport, OH; special niece, Megan (James) Flippen, Canal Winchester, OH; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and aunts ,uncles and many many friends around Meigs County..
He is preceded in death by his father and mother in law, Phyllis Clark
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at 11:00am at the Anderson McDaniel Funeral Home in Middleport with Pastor David Hopkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Meigs Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 5, 2024 from 6-8:00pm at the funeral home. A fireman's service will be held at 7:45 the evening of visitation
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Middleport Fire Department of the Meigs Athletic Boosters
