Jeffrey Fields, 70, of Meigs County, Ohio, passed away on June 17, 2026, at Select Specialty Hospital in Columbus. He was born on September 24, 1955.
Jeffrey was a 1973 graduate of Meigs High School and was a proud member of the Eagles in Pomeroy, Ohio. He enjoyed traveling, reading his Bible, and had an extensive book collection. He was also active in the Meigs County Republican Party.
He is survived by his devoted caretaker and sister, Patricia Fields; brother, Joseph Fields; nephews, Jerry (Jacque) Fields, Joe (Pam) Fields Jr., Robby (Lisa) Fields, and Greg (Tara) Fields, Terry (Jodi) Fields; uncle, George (Joan) Fields; aunt, Mary Fields; sister in law, Barbara Fields as well as several cousins, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Pauline Fields; sister, Mary Ann Fields; brother, Jerry E. Fields Sr.; and his special pets, Mickey and Joey.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 22, 2026, at Anderson McDaniel Funeral Home in Pomeroy, Ohio, with burial to follow in Gilmore Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home.
Jeffrey will be remembered for his love of faith, learning, travel, and the many books that filled his life. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
