Deanna Mayes, 61, Athens, passed away at her residence Monday, February 20, 2023.
Born August 29, 1961, in Athens, she was the daughter of the late Pearl A. and Janice
Brown Barrows. She was a former employee of McBees.
She is survived by her children Paul (Amy) Scott of Athens, Katrina Mayes of Athens,
and Tiffany Marnati-Scott of Albany; a sister Kathy Barrows of Athens; and 6 grandchildren,
Gage Scott and Colt Scott, Brighton Smith, Kaleigh Scott, Steven Vance II and Adam Vance.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Allen Mayes in 2007;
and a brother Chuck Barrows.
Services will be Tuesday February 28, 2023, at 1 P.M. at Bigony-Jordan Funeral Home with
Pastor Bert Christian Officiating. Visitation is 12-1 P.M. prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
