Louella M. Taylor, 90, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away on Friday at her residence surrounded by her family. Louella was born on January 23, 1933 in Big Chimney, West Virginia, daughter of the late Clina and Grace Knapperberger Botkin. Lou was a homemaker; and she attended Poplar Ridge Church and enjoyed writing poems.
Lou was married to Tommy Taylor for 67 years before his passing away on May 1, 2018. Lou is survived by her daughter, Gloria J. (Daryl) Salisbury of Gallipolis, Ohio; two granddaughters, Beth (Steve) Stewart of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Penny (Jerry, Jr.) Back of Rembert, South Carolina; three great grandchildren, Samuel Stewart and Joy and Joshua Back; one sister, Wanda Shafer of Winfield, West Virginia; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Betty Jane Jeffrey, Leola Newland, and Helena Klevenski and by three brothers, Clyde Botkin, Bill Botkin, and Earl Botkin.
The funeral service for Lou will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Henry Hatfield officiating. Her burial will be in Poplar Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
