Audrey Elaine Sayre, aged 56, of Ravenswood, WV, peacefully passed away on July 10, 2023, at her home. Born on May 12, 1967, in Cleveland, Ohio, Audrey was a woman of remarkable character and unwavering devotion.
Audrey dedicated over 25 years of her life to the noble profession of geriatric care as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Throughout her career, she served diligently in various nursing homes, hospitals, and doctor's offices across Jackson, Wood, and Kanawha counties in West Virginia.
Her commitment to providing compassionate care to the elderly left an indelible mark on the lives of countless individuals.
Beyond her professional achievements, Audrey found solace and joy in her role as a loving mother and grandmother. She embraced the title of "Mimi" with pride and adored her grandsons, Kolton and Connor. Their presence brought immeasurable happiness to her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Audrey's memory will forever be treasured by her dear mother, Christine Sayre, and her sisters, Janet Sayre, Faith Speece, Brenda & Brian Turner, Leslie Sayre, and Angela Sayre. She was also a beloved mother to her only child, Amanda Garrison-Meredith. Audrey's love and guidance shaped the lives of her family, leaving an enduring legacy of strength and compassion.
Audrey was preceded in death by her father,
David Jesse Sayre, and her brother, Patrick Sayre.
Their spirits will forever be honored and remembered by Audrey's family and friends, who find solace in the cherished memories they shared together.
In addition to her immediate family, Audrey leaves behind her cherished significant other, Richard Cooper, whose unwavering support and love provided her with comfort and companionship. She also leaves behind a wide circle of friends, whom she considered family, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A traditional memorial service will be held to celebrate Audrey's life on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at Roush's Funeral Home from 2pm to 4pm. This gathering will provide an opportunity for family and friends to come together, share stories, and pay their respects to a remarkable woman who touched the lives of many.
Audrey Elaine Sayre will forever be remembered for her kindness, compassion, and unwavering love. Her departure has left a void in the hearts of those who knew her, but her spirit will continue to shine brightly in their memories.
